Safety Manager

The Safety Manager is responsible for directing and providing health and safety program oversight to all ESi locations. The position oversees the implementation and the execution of the ESi Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). This position will work with technical leadership to implement identified safety practices, create sustainable training programs compliant with regulations and conduct audits for safety procedure implementation. Ensures compliance with corporate, OSHA, client safety requirements, and conducting root-cause analysis of health and safety incidents. The Safety Manager is responsible for all OSHA reporting and workers compensation compliance and documents the effectiveness of safety control measures used throughout the company. Will direct the implementation of IIPP. The position will guide Site Safety Coordinators in the creation of site safety plans, instruct on-site audits, and manage the development of any required specific health and safety plans for remediation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Senior Leadership to create a sustainable safety training path for the organization
* Provide safety leadership and direction to the organization
* Serve as the primary contact on safety issues
* Provide leadership, guidance, training, and coaching to Site Safety Coordinators across the country
* Appraise, advise, develop new safety regulations as they relate to ESi in conjunction with Senior Leadership
* Develop and implement safety orientation and ongoing training for the organization based on the disciplines
* Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
* Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
* Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
* Provides technical and administrative support to the safety committee.
* Review incident reports determining where changes need to be made to prevent future similar accidents
* Identify PPE resources needed and establish a standardized protocol for offices to procure the materials and establish required standards for PPE to be maintained on-site.
* 30% - 50% Travel


* Bachelor s degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field required.

Computer Skills:
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
* Board Certified Safety Profession
* Certified Safety Manager (CSM)

Other Skills/Abilities or Other Qualifications:
* At least five years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial environment required.
* Extensive knowledge of safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

Must be competent in the following:
* General Safety
* Chemical Hazards/SDS Right to know
* Electrical Hazards
* Fall Protection
* Medical Hazards
* First Aid /CPR
* Machine guarding/ Lockout/Tagout Confined Space
* PPE/Respirators
