Foth Production Solutions
is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Electrical & Controls Engineer - Automation focused who has a desire to contribute to our clients success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position will be working out of our Green Bay, WI location. Other potential locations include Madison, WI; or Minneapolis, MN; with candidate s ability to travel frequently to Green Bay, WI for machine builds.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide Electrical Design and Programming for Automated Manufacturing Systems including advanced systems integration using programmable Automation, sensors and actuators including Robotics
* Efforts will include the design of custom automation, modifications and upgrades to systems as well as installation and start up commissioning support for new production facilities, new lines as well as upgrades or enhancements of existing equipment
* Respond and support project and client requests for on-going controls troubleshooting including ongoing support of production equipment (may include nights and weekends)
* Interface directly with client(s) on a daily basis to understand and respond to their needs
* Identify scope, develop accurate hardware, engineering and construction estimates as well as proposals
* Create efficient, reliable and effective designs for client(s)
* Develop relationships and cultivating future work opportunities with clients and facilities as work is performed

Required Qualifications:
* BS Electrical Engineering, or a combination of two or four year technology degree supplemented with equivalent technical training or experience
* 4+ years of relevant Engineering/Design experience including implementation of 20 or more projects. This including troubleshooting complex projects
* Exposure to manufacturing environments
* Ability to meet anticipated travel requirements at 30%. If candidate is not local to Green Bay, WI travel expectations will increase to over 50%

Required previous experience in the following areas:
* Industrial Robotic systems (FANUC, ABB, Kuka, or equivalent)
* Industrial Intelligent linear actuators and end effectors
* Integration of Machine Vision into Robotics and Automation Systems
* Proven Understanding of Safety Standards (ISO 13849-1 & RIA 15.06) and Proficiency in conducting Risk Assessments
* Proven experience implementing and understanding NFPA 70, 70E and 79 as well as UL508A
* Experience implementing Safety PLC s and Safety Controllers
* Rockwell Control Logix based PLC and FactoryTalk View HMI hardware & Software
* Rockwell Kinetix Servo Drives and Motors
* Thin Clients, Thin Manager and Distributed software and hardware implementations
* Ethernet and Ethernet/IP Networking including VLans, NAT and Network throughput sizing calculations
* Manufacturing Line integration and development of complete Line Functional Descriptions of Operations
* Electrical system design schematics and control panel layout design
* Developing construction and installation documentation

Preferred Qualifications:
* Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 24 months of your start date
* Engineering/design experience in the food/beverage industry

Preferred experience with the following:
* Siemens S7 & TIA Portal PLCs, Including Safety Versions
* Siemens HMI s
* Siemens S Series Servo Drives
* AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
* Advanced Linear Actuator / Linear Motor Controls Experience
* SQL Server database programming
