We are currently looking for an experienced Buyer to work in our Westchester County Home Office in Cortlandt Manor, NY. The Buyer is responsible for working with the Materials Manager and Inventory Coordinator to oversee and maintain the purchasing of materials to meet the business and production needs. This includes data analysis, vendor management, gathering bids and responding to related inquiries.

Polymedco, established in 1980, is a manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of clinical diagnostic test kits and devices in the clinical laboratory. We are a world leader in non-invasive colorectal cancer (CRC) screening technology, providing both fecal tests (FIT) and blood tests for colorectal screening in patients that are non-compliant with colonoscopy test. We have experienced significant growth in the last few years due to our ability to acquire unique technologies and successfully market them.

We are currently looking for an experienced Buyer to work in our Westchester County Home Office in Cortlandt Manor, NY.  The Buyer is responsible for working with the Materials Manager and Inventory Coordinator to oversee and maintain the purchasing of materials to meet the business and production needs.  This includes data analysis, vendor management, gathering bids and responding to related inquiries. 

This full-time position with a work schedule of  9:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday with overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Associates Degree and 3+ years related purchasing / buying experience Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication skills and ability to be a team player.

The ability to organize, manage multiple priorities and be a detail-oriented problem solver

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Primary responsibilities include:

Assist Materials Manager and Inventory Coordinator in all job functions

Enter purchase orders and work orders

Expedite past due items; analyze inventory levels of components used for off-site manufacturing

Communication with vendors and suppliers on current and past due items

Work with A/P to reconcile invoices, receipts and purchase order

Data entry of receipts, purchase orders and work orders

Maintain pricing

Follow established departmental policies, procedures and objectives

Develop and maintain reports detailing forecast analysis and review.

Assist in special projects as requested and other related duties as necessary

Off-hours work (early morning, evenings and/or weekend work) is expected and necessary when required due to business needs.
